Get Beacon on your phone.

The app patrollers use to sign on, log incidents and get community alerts — and the one residents use for the emergency button. One app, three roles.

Beacon for Android

Version 1.4.4 · Checking file size… · Android 8.0+

Not on Google Play yet — this installs directly from the file. Android will warn you it's from outside the Play Store; that's expected for a direct download.

Log in with your Beacon account to download. Your organization needs to be a registered, subscribed forum — if you're not there yet, register your forum first.
Installing

Three steps, once.

Android blocks installs from outside the Play Store by default — this is what to expect the first time.

STEP 1

Download the file

Tap the button above from your phone's browser. The APK saves to your Downloads folder.

STEP 2

Allow this install

Open the downloaded file. Android will prompt to allow installs from your browser — tap Settings, then allow it, just for this install.

STEP 3

Install and open

Back out to the install prompt, tap Install, then open Beacon and log in with the account your administrator set up.
